Würth Baer Supply is searching for a Warehouse Associate for our Distribution Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. Join our growing and dynamic team and help us in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.

Role Responsibilities

The majority of this role consists of fulfilling/picking large orders of plywood with dimensions such as 4'x8' - 4'x10' - 5' x 10' - 5' x 12' - These materials are heavy and this is considered a rather physical role since the materials can weigh 90lbs or more. You must be able to pick up/drag these pieces of plywood without damaging them into stacks on pallets, then strap them down, and stage them for shipment or load them into a truck. Your sit-down propane forklift experience is very important to us. Please do not apply if you are not already proficient operating this type of forklift.Process orders, locating products, processing returns, on-foot and vehicular order pickingDriving sit-down forklift up to large stacks of wood board products to transfer them to your pallet before staging or loading into truck - Must be comfortable with the physicality of this role - Some of these materials are rather heavyProcessing outbound orders in LTL shipping area - Fast paced verification of quantities and item condition before loading onto carrier tractor trailersProcessing inbound delivery receipts - Indicate products on receipt match products delivered, noting damages or quantity discrepancies as neededWorking in a team environment on a variety of inbound and outbound warehouse dutiesOperating a sit-down forklift and learning to drive other material handling vehicles as neededAssist customers with loading their order onto their vehiclesAssist with general warehouse responsibilities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping)Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED1+ year of warehouse experience (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, loading/unloading trucks)Good communication skillsBasic computer knowledgeSit-down forklift experience

Role Characteristics
