Würth Baer Supply Company is looking for an experienced hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to help us lead and support our operations in Vernon Hills, IL. In this role you will lead, coach, mentor, develop, train, and schedule warehouse personnel while working with the Operations Manager to remain within budget. You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees by adhering to all OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and Safety regulations/guidelines. You will ensure 100% customer satisfaction by motivating your team to offer same day shipment of all customer orders while maintaining accuracy, proper packaging, and efficient transportation of the merchandise.
As a leader you are responsible for all company assets within the facility, including but not limited to, inventory accuracy, daily cycle counts, and equipment and facility maintenance.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Mid-Day-Shift Hours, 10-hour days (Salaried Position - No Overtime) - Approximate training hours 8am-6pm CST - 10am-8pm CST after training.
Qualifications
3+ years of warehouse supervision Experience using SAP (our WMS system of choice) is a plus, but not a deal-breaker Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel and WMS software) Forklift experience strongly preferred Complete HazMat certification training Knowledge specific to Safety and Security Training
Role Characteristics
“Hands-on" role, participates in the daily warehousing duties (receiving, picking, packing, quality control, cycle counts, etc.) Interacts face-to-face with customers Stands for 3 to 4 hours at a time Lifts up to 75 pounds Moves product as a certified forklift driver Withstands fluctuating temperature changes Quickly learns new systems Has an excellent work ethic Excels in a quick-paced environment Variable job duties and fluctuating schedule
