What You Will Be Doing

Electrical PCB Engineer will develop intricate printed circuit board layoutsCollaboration with engineering teams, creating schematics, circuit board layouts and optimizing designs for manufacturing and testingWorking with electronic engineers and embedded engineers to create circuit designs and board layouts to meet platform deliverables within product development phasesIdentify the risks, mitigations, and contingency plans for new featuresWork closely with business units, tool owners, and other technical support groups in cross-functional teamsProblem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex electrical problems with limited to no supervisionSpecify the development of design or modify engineering assemblies, layout/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scopeInterfaces with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projectsSpecify and/or perform engineering ECAD design of complex scopeDefine, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports as required.

What You Need to Bring to the Table: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent desiredExperience with Altium software for PCB/PCBA design with input from mechanical and electrical teamsCreate and modify schematics as directed by engineersGenerate library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for componentInvestigate and implement PCB design trends and processesConduct feasibility studies for packaging, cost, and system performance.Perform complex CAD and CAE tasks, ensuring compliance with design standardsPropose design trade-offs for resolution and implementationCommunicate with fabrication vendors and address engineering questionsPrioritize quality design and observe design for test and manufacturability principlesUnderstand impedance control requirements for electrical and RF circuitsStay updated on PCB technology trends and apply them to our designsCollaborate with various teams during the design and fabrication processResolve PCB design issues with vendorsContribute to PCB design specifications and standards for product quality and cost-efficiencyBe creative and innovativeDemonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processesA nature of staying focused on solutions and ability to remain positive even under pressure.Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the program goals

Proficiency in Altium, or Mentor PCB Design softwareFamiliarity with Mechanical CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX) is a plusStrong knowledge of PCB design best practices and standards (e.g., IPC-A-610)Effective verbal and written communication skillsExperience in RF Circuit PCB design is preferredExperience using Altium PCB Design software
