Remodeling/Insurance Estimator

As a Remodeling/Insurance Estimator at Your Home Expert, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, estimating, and managing remodeling and insurance-related projects. You will collaborate closely with clients, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates that align with project objectives and industry standards. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication to deliver exceptional customer service and drive project success. ResponsibilitiesEstimation and Assessment:Conduct thorough onsite assessments of residential to determine scope of remodeling or insurance-related work.Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.Collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, and office management to understand project requirements and expectations.

Client Relationship Management:Serve as the initial primary point of contact for clients throughout the estimation and project execution phases.Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.Foster positive relationships with clients through exceptional service, transparency, and responsiveness.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including estimates, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.Generate regular progress reports and updates for clients, internal stakeholders, and insurance companies as necessary.

QualificationsMust be proficient in Xactimate and Symbility.Proven experience in estimating and project management within the construction or remodeling industry.Extensive knowledge in construction methods, materials, water damages, exterior, roofing and mitigation.Extensive knowledge of sketching, negotiating supplements, private estimation.Negotiate and finalize supplements with insurance carrier.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Must be available for FULL TIME schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.Certification or licensure in construction estimating or project management.Experience working with insurance companies and handling insurance-related claims.Familiarity with residential and commercial remodeling processes and best practices.
