📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We're seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team, providing friendly, courteous, and confidential assistance to every patient to ensure a positive practice experience. In this role, you'll be the point of contact for patients, addressing their questions and concerns related to consultations, surgery fees, scheduling, and pre-operative appointments.
Responsibilities: Close surgeries: Deliver a last-minute impression after patient consultations, ensuring their needs and desires regarding procedures are understood. Use personal and previous patient testimonies to assist in closing surgeries and cross-sell aesthetic services when appropriate. Review surgery fees: Discuss surgery fees with patients during consultations, ensuring competitive market pricing and discussing payment financing options when appropriate. Effective coordination: Coordinate patients' surgery and care plans, including pre-operative appointments, collecting payments, and providing necessary orders and tests. Communication: Answer phones and emails promptly, troubleshoot situations efficiently, and maintain clear and timely correspondence with patients. Consult conversion: Track consult conversion daily and reach out to patients who have not booked through a multistep touch process. Record-keeping: Log all information regarding patient care, surgeries, and office procedures into Nextech, including payments, labs, phone conversations, and receipts. Patient assessment and education: Assess and screen patients, providing education about surgeries and procedures to ensure they are well-informed. Scheduling: Maintain calendars, appointments, and meetings for physicians, scheduling surgeries, office procedures, and pre-operative appointments. Coordinate with patients, hospitals, and other surgeons for hospital surgery cases. Administrative tasks: Manage administrative duties with a focus on organization, including keeping track of dictations, signing off on dictated charts for hospital cases, and submitting payroll.
Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role Customer service skills and telephone etiquette Familiarity with medical terms and technology Understanding of law and ethics pertaining to medical practices Basic accounting and math skills Strong computer, data entry and office management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Empathy and compassion to give support to patients Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Benefits: 401k: Plan for your future with our 401k retirement savings plan.
