JOB DESCRIPTION:We are seeking a talented and experienced Job Captain with a focus on Retail projects to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record of successfully leading projects from conception to completion within the retail sector. As a Job Captain, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of our retail projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with our client's vision and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: Lead the coordination and management of retail projects from start to finish, including overseeing project schedules, budgets, and resources.Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and functional retail designs that meet the client's objectives and brand identity.Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing their concerns, providing updates, and ensuring their satisfaction with the final deliverables.Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.Documentation: Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure that construction meets the highest quality standards.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, as well as external consultants and vendors, to coordinate project activities and resolve any conflicts or challenges that may arise.Continuing Education: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in retail design and construction to enhance your expertise and contribute to the company's competitive edge.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a focus on retail projects.Proficiency in, Revit and other relevant design software.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build rapport with clients.Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes related to retail construction.Proven track record of successfully delivering retail projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications are preferred.Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
