📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a medical device client in Utah County. The engineer will design mechanical components using 3D CAD modeling tools and will help develop cutting-edge medical devices, with a focus on wearable technology.
We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of our next-generation products.
Skills & Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing engineer role, preferably in the medical device or wearables industry.Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience preferred.Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, particularly 3D printing.Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for the mechanical systems of medical devices.Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.Utilize rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, to create functional prototypes and iterate on designs.Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics to ensure the integrity and repeatability of our engineering efforts.Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices to continuously improve products and processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure the successful integration of mechanical components into devicesContribute to the development of product requirements, specifications, and design guidelines.
