Position Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, expansion and growth of our local area network. The System Administrator will maintain the essentials such as operating system, business applications, emails, laptops and desktops.
Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
Support LAN, WAN and intranet systemsMaintain Zufall’s network and computer systemsInstall and configure hardware and softwareMake upgrades and repairs to operating system, software and hardware as neededContinually monitor server and network performanceMake recommendations for necessary upgrades and new technologyContribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies and proceduresProvide Level 1 and 2 support to end usersWork with current Level 3 IT support to resolve issuesEngage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve network connectivity issuesAdminister servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, software deployment and patches
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop products.Strong understanding of network infrastructureAbility to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructuresEfficient organizational and time-management skills.Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervisionGood analytical and problem-solving skills.Dependable and flexible when necessary.
Education, Training And Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study or related technical degree preferredAt least 1-2 years of experience in an IT related fieldExperience with local area network and wide area network administration.Proven experience in managing networks and help deskKnowledge in managing and configuring Window server and desktop platformsExperience with the following systems:VMWare maintenance and configurationVoIP systems (preferred)VMWare and Nakivo Backup & replication software (preferred)SAN / NAS solution (preferred)Sonicwall firewall (preferred)Electronic Health Records (preferred)Cisco switches and wireless access point (preferred)Ubiquiti network devices (preferred)
As a condition of employment, we require that all staff are fully vaccinated against flu. Therefore, if hired during flu season (typically between September-May), all new employees need to be fully vaccinated against flu and are required to provide documentation of receiving flu vaccines upon hire.
